Well Jenson Button is the Formula 1 champion for this season. But This year will also be remebered for the Vijay Mallya's team " Force India". The team was formed in October 2007. Force India won their first Formula One world championship points and podium place when Giancarlo Fisichella finished second in the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix. Force India shocked Formula 1 again with Adrian Sutil snatching a well fought 4th position after starting the race from P2 in the next Italian GP.
Force India F1 represents increased Indian participation within Formula One, with Delhi set to host the first ever Indian Grand Prix in 2011.
Many people knows India for its population and Cricket. But now its time for India to show to the world that India is not only about Cricket but many more things. History was rewritten when Abhinav Bindra gave india its first ever gold medal in Olympics in an individual event. Many more sports are coming to the fore. To increase the popularity among indians for other sports than cricket, media has a biggr role.
Please start encouraging olympic games, I am sure India has a talent. What we need is a commitment from Indian government.
